Background:
I have coach for 25 years at various levels including Recreational, Signature, Club, High School and College. During this time, I have coached all ages and levels of players. Although being very versed at coaching teams, my true passion is with developing goalkeepers.
Education:
Graduate of California State University Dominguez Hills (1990) with a Bachelors of Arts degree in Physical Education/Athletic Training and a minor in Biology
Current Occupation:
Physical Therapist Assistant/Athletic Trainer at St. Jude Medical Center Ortho & Sports Rehabilitation and Wellness (1993 – Present)
Duties include:
- Treating post operative and non surgical patients with various orthopedic ailments
- Screening athletes with Functional Movement Screen (FMS) to reduce the risk of injury
- Assessing athletes readiness to return to sporting activities after surgery or injury
- Designing programs to improve fundamental movement patterns
- Developing programs to enhance athletic performance
- Assessing golf clients mobility and stability and creating exercise programs to improve deficits and develop greater swing mechanics
