Last summer’s camp was such a great time that we expanded our format
for this summer. This summer will feature 3 options for players aged 5-14
years old. 5-14 year olds can choose a half day option from 9am-noon.
7-14 year olds can choose a full day option that includes lunch every
day and a tournament from 9am-3pm. We are introducing a goalkeeper camp
for players 10-14 years old. The BSA summer soccer camp will feature
high level coaching and a curriculum written by our Technical Director,
Matt Morse.
Brea Soccer Association is committed to developing our players and providing
them with the opportunities they need to grow, develop and learn the game
of soccer. With this in mind, BSA will provide Friday night academy
sessions aimed at developing the individual skills that are needed
to develop into a complete soccer player.
BSA has also entered into a partnerhips with CATZ to provide our players
with an opportunity to develop their conditioning as well.BSA is launching
a Player Development Academy which will be run by our Technical Director,
Matt Morse.
The purpose of the academy is to give all 7-12 year olds the opportunity
to master their individual technical skills. Each child will be taught
the proper technique for passing, receiving, defending and dribbling.
They will learn 5 moves to keep possession of the ball, 5 different moves
to beat a defender and will learn to use these moves in combination. It
will be a very fun and challenging environment. If you are a goalkeeper
between the ages of 9-14 we will also have a Goalkeeper Trainer at every
academy session to work with you as well (please RSVP to td@breasoccer.org
if you will be attending as a goalkeeper). This academy is a great opportunity
for any player between 7-12 to get extra the extra training and attention
they need that they can't always get at a team practice.

CATZ Partnership
BSA is also excited to announce a new partnership with the Competitive
Athlete Training Zone, also known as CATZ, www.catzsports.com. CATZ is
proud to offer the Brea Soccer Association the same sports performance
program used by professional and elite soccer players including MLS teams
the LA Galaxy and the Columbus Crew. Since opening its first training
center in Pasadena in 1996, CATZ has trained tens of thousands of athletes
to improve their athletic performance and reduce the risk of injury. While
we have worked with professional and Olympic athletes in virtually every
sport, we pride ourselves on our ability to work with young athletes.
CATZ training programs are sport-specific and each workout is created
by breaking down the particular sport's movement patterns, rest periods,
reaction needs, muscular power, endurance requirements and common sites
of injury.
