Sparks Academy is the place to come if you want to grow as a player, grow your skills, grow your game, grow your character!

Sparks is offered during the Winter and Spring seasons.  The focus is on fun team competition and individual player development.

  • Winter Sparks  - 6 Saturday training sessions for players 4-12 years old.  Starting in January just after the New Year begins.
  • Spring Sparks  - This 10 week season has both training and games with our professional coaching staff.  Training starts in March and ends in early May.
  • Summer training - Can’t get enough?  Come back for more in the months of June and July for weekly training.  Then finish off the summer with the best soccer camp in Southern California in mid-August.
  • Fall Sparks - In the Fall season our training is called RecPlus.  We have the same focus as Sparks with fun team competition and individual player development in mind.  If you register for and play on a Fall Brea Soccer team then Sparks/Recplus is FREE!  This program specifically designed for Brea Rec players U5-U14.  Recplus typically runs for 8 weeks in September and October.  This program not only develops the young players but also the coaches who will join the coaching staff as they develop the players with curriculum developed in conjunction with US Soccer.

The best way to develop individual technical* and tactical* skills* at younger ages is to engage in “small-sided games”. All of the elements of a full 11v11 game can be found within a 4v4 game. We want to help these young players unlock the secrets of success by discovering the game at a simple level.
The emphasis of the program is on the technical development of the player in a fun, competitive and growth oriented environment. Each player will be trained within their age/gender group once a week and will play a game each Saturday. The final week players will receive awards and certificates and a “team” photo.

  • The purpose of the program is to develop the players individual skills and to allow them to play in small-sided games during the winterseason.
