AC Brea Kick Off Classic


Welcome to the AC Brea Kickoff Classic - 2016

The AC Brea Kickoff Classic is scheduled for August 13-14 (Boys Weekend) & August 20-21 (Girls Weekend) in the city of Brea.

Tournament Overview

The AC Brea Kickoff Classic is looking for all club teams, signature and AYSO + teams to play, we will do our best to group teams according to their level.

The AC Brea Kickoff Classic will be using the 2016-17 Calendar age brackets. It is the teams responsibility to ensure they apply in the correct age group bracket. 

This tournament shall be subject to and games shall be played pursuant to rules of the Federation International de Football Association (FIFA) as modified by the United States Youth Soccer Association (USYSA), Cal South, and the Brea Soccer Association (BSA) Tournament Committee. 

TOURNAMENT DATES: August 13-14 (Boys) & August 20-21 (Girls), 2016

APPLICATION DEADLINE: Boys Weekend Application Deadline is July 29th, 2016 or when the brackets are full.  Girls Weekend Application Deadline is August 5th, 2016 or when the brackets are full.

CLASSIFICATION: CalSouth Sanctioned Class 1 & 3 tournament.

COST: $450 for 2008-2007 playing 7 v 7
           $500 for 2006 playing 9 v 9

           $575 for 2005-1998 playing 11 v 11


ELIGIBILITY: Teams must be affiliated with USYSA and players must have either their 2015-2016 or 2016-2017 laminated player’s passes / cards or equivalent national association, AND either a 2015-2016 or 2016-2017 registration form

PLAYING FORMAT: Flights will normally consist of 6 or 8 team brackets.  Winners of each pool would play for the championship of the age bracket. Pool play begins Saturday morning. Teams will typically play two games Saturday. All teams are guaranteed three games. Should a bracket have less than 6 teams, medals will still be awarded to the top two finishers.

ACCEPTANCE: Once the team completes the application process and fees have been received, the application will be reviewed and the selection committee will determine the status of the acceptance. After a team has gained entry, notice will be given via email. No refunds will be given once a team receives an acceptance email from the tournament committee.

CHECK-IN: Check-in will be conducted one hour before your first scheduled game at the scheduled game site.

AGE GROUPING: Teams will play in the 2016-17 age group brackets. Teams may request to play up an age group if they desire more competition.

AWARDS: All players will receive tournament pins which will be handed out at team check in. Finalists will receive tournament medals.  Champions will receive tournament medals and team trophy.

SCHEDULES: Schedules are expected to be posted no later than August 7th 9:00 P.M. for the boys weekend and no later than August 14th at 9:00 P.M. for the girls weekend. It is the responsibility of all teams to check the schedule for any changes up until their first game.
