Many of you have also been asking about our partnership with FC Golden State, here are a few (well many) of the benefits we have already experienced and some upcoming events:

  • 2 players shared with B01 team for Fall league from FCGS academy
  • 1 player shared with B03 team for Fall league from FCGS academy
  • 2 players have signed with the FCGS Academy – Tyler Johnson & Diego Aragon from the B01 team. Diego has already accepted a soccer scholarship to UC Irvine and Tyler is considering Div I scholarships from two top schools.
  • Several players from B07 PDA have been invited to be “DP” players. This is what is known as a “Designated Player” on the Academy teams. This allows a player to continue to play for AC Brea and also get to play in up to 12 Academy games in a season.
  • New coach Tyler Williams made his decision to move from Fullerton Rangers to AC Brea primarily due to the potential AC Brea now has with the development of this pathway and partnership.
  • FCGS Technical Director Ozzie Monroy served at the AC Brea summer camp for a week and showed a high level of knowledge, skill, and proficiency to our staff and campers.
  • FCGS Academy coaches attended 1 week of AC Brea club training sessions in the Fall season.
  • FCGS Academy training sessions are open to ALL AC Brea club players at the referal and request by their AC Brea head coach.
